This short story by A.A. Moss follows the existence of C.H.A.R.L.E.5, the Care Health Assistance Robot LE5, and the complex relationship he holds with his elderly mistress, Evelyn. Their relationship comes under threat, and Charles is forced to take drastic measures to ensure their continued safety. We find out that all is most definitely not as it seems, however, as a life-altering, long-buried secret finally comes to light.
