Submission Guidelines

The editor works with fiction writers only. If you are the author of micro-fiction, flash fiction, short stories, novelettes, novellas, novels, or epic fiction of any genre this is the place for you. Please submit the first 5 pages of your novel to youreditinglounge@gmail.com for a FREE sample edit.

If your project is in its beginning drafts the editor may request that you give it an initial or secondary edit. This does not mean your project has been rejected. Please resubmit the revised project for review. 

• Manuscripts should be sent in a Microsoft Office Word document (.doc or .docx)
• The body of the text should be in 12pt Times New Roman font and 1.5" spaced
• Margins should be 1" on all sides
• Chapters and section breaks should be clearly marked
• Page numbers are not required but are highly suggested

* If a manuscript is received without the implementation of the bullet points above, I will format the document properly at an additional charge of $25 USD.

* At this time, I am only accepting submissions from authors who are native English speakers or have a clear fluency in the language. I apologize for any inconvenience.

* I have a strict no-show policy. If I do not receive your document by midnight PST the night before your scheduled edit you will forfeit your slot. If this happens twice, I will require payment in advance to schedule a third time.  Thank you for understanding.
